Radetec Diagnostics is a Melbourne-based bio-nanotechnology company specialised in the production, application and commercialisation of functional nanoparticles and equipment for Lateral Flow Assays (LFAs). Our capabilities include:
- Production of fluorescent "quantum dots" nanoparticles (QDs). Radetec's QDs are extremely bright particles, especially suited to be used as labels in in-vitro diagnostic assays. We have perfected a proprietary process to modify these particles with organic or biological molecules, making them suitable for biomedical applications.
- Production of reagents and equipment for Lateral Flow Assays development. Radetec has developed a dispensing system (BioStriper) that draws lines of proteins on nitrocellulose sheets, as well as an optical reader (Flare) to measure fluorescence and colorimetric signals from paper-based assays. The striper and the reader are a cost-effective way to develop a wide range of rapid paper-based tests in laboratories.
