Billups-Rothenberg, Inc. was founded in 1973. It is a biotechnology manufacturing and R&D technology company that pioneered the use of culturing in low-oxygen (physioxic) conditions, a technique that is starting to see wide-spread adoption today. Our specialized incubators can be found on all 7 continents, from the labs of recent Nobel laureates to malaria and cancer research institutes. Our product line focuses on applying our proprietary engineering technology to the development of medical and basic research hardware. It lends itself relevant to the pharmaceutical, biomedical industries, biotech, academic research markets and national defense.

These product concepts include environmental sensors and new incubator technology. The Modular Incubator Chamber (MIC-101) and accessories is a simple and inexpensive incubator technology which eliminates environmental variability, a major problem inherent problem found in today’s continuous flow CO2 incubators.
