When used properly with the Oregon Spine Splint it is equal to a long backboard. An immobilized patient 6 foot tall weighing 180 can be taken through holes as small as 11 inches x 15 inches. When using Sked® in the water, patients can be packaged in 20 seconds. Sked® can be hoisted by helicopter as well.
