(Londonderry, NH November 2021) – Foxx Life Sciences' Autofil® Vacuum Filtration System is designed to enhance user experience when handling fluids in any laboratory. The system is a disposable and sterile vacuum operated unit used for the preparation of buffers, tissue culture media, microbiological media, and other biological fluids. The company is now introducing yet another variation of the Autofil® Vacuum Filtration System which features a faster , one-piece funnel design at a better price.
The patented, next generation Autofil® 2 System features the new High Flow Foxx Velocity PES Membranes in 0.1μm, 0.2μm, and 0.45μm options. The low protein binding, surfactant-free membranes are ideal for filtering vicious solutions. Autofil® 2 is also assembled with Foxx Life Sciences new patented EZLabpure™ R Media Bottle designed specifically for researchers to store common solutions such as tissue culture media, serum, and buffers. EZLabpure™ R Media Bottles are available in PETG and Polystyrene. Customers can also purchase the funnel only bottle-top filters.
Autofil® 2 was strategically developed with a 90mm membrane surface area to maximize the amount of media passing through the membrane. Foxx Life Sciences' PES membrane differentiates from other leading brands in terms of membrane shape, as well. Foxx's membranes are rounded versus square cut membranes to guarantee that there is no chance of media becoming trapped.
All components included in the Autofil® 2 Vacuum Filtration units are gamma sterilized, ISO 13485 certified, and manufactured from USP Class VI polystyrene materials in an ISO Class 7 Cleanroom. Autofil® 2 is compatable with the Autofil® Pedestal and Cradle Ring 2, which are optional docking stations that permit hands free filtering in the laboratory. These additional products also provide a stationary vacuum hose connection for ensure efficient set-up and quick use while preventing spills and tissue culture hood contamination. Autofil® 2 units are available in 250mL, 500mL, and 1L variations.
