The Modular SFC CFC™-2c Chiral Centrifugal Fraction Collector is a benchtop accessory for new and existing SFC equipment. The CFC-2c provides chromatographers with the ability to separate, fractionate, and concentrate without post purification sample handling for bulk chiral and achiral purifications. This instrument separates the CO2 from the organic component of the mobile phase after the back pressure regulator. The organic component containing the material of interest is collected while the CO2 is allowed to escape. The CFC-2c's Centri-Fan™ simultaneously dries fractions during the collection process, virtually eliminating the post purification rotary evaporation step. The CFC-2c enables stacked or multiple injection modes for chiral or achiral samples with up to 24 peaks. Fractions are collected at atmospheric pressure, eliminating the complexity and pressurized hardware requirements of conventional SFC fraction collectors. The collection path is swept with inert gas or solvent between fractions eliminating the possibility of carryover.
